House of Flying Daggers Movie Review
If you are looking for an edge-of-your-seat, heart-stopping martial arts movie with incredible fight scenes and a touching love story, then you need to see House of Flying Daggers. This movie has it all! The love story between Leo and Mei is also very well done and is sure to tug at your heartstrings. Their relationship is tested time and time again and you’ll be rooting for them throughout the entire movie.
The Plot

This Zhang Yimou film tells the story of Mei, a beautiful and skilled fighter who is recruited by the government to help them take down a rebel group known as the House of Flying Daggers.
The plot of the movie is pretty straightforward, but it is the execution that makes it so thrilling. The action sequences are some of the best that I have ever seen, and the cinematography is simply gorgeous. The lookmovie also has a great sense of humor, and the romance between Mei and Captain Leo is both sweet and heartbreaking.

The Cast
After a brief prologue introducing the film’s two main characters, Leo (Chow Yun-Fat) and Mei (Ziyi Zhang), we are transported to 859 A.D. China, during the late Tang Dynasty. The once-great Tang Empire is in decline, and the local government is in a state of chaos. In the midst of this turmoil, a secret society known as the “House of Flying Daggers” is wreaking havoc throughout the land.
The House of Flying Daggers is a visually stunning film that features some of the most beautiful scenery and costumes I have ever seen in a movie. The cast is also excellent, with Chow Yun-Fat and Ziyi Zhang giving two of the best performances of their careers.
If you are a fan of martial arts films, or simply looking for a visually stunning and emotionally charged film, I highly recommend House of Flying Daggers.

As Leo and Mei’s relationship develops, the two must face off against some of the most skilled fighters in the world in a series of spectacular battles. The fight scenes in this movie are truly a sight to behold, and the chemistry between Kaneshiro and Zhang is electric.
